
Prevention Program
The Kalispel Tribe believes in the power of preventive efforts to keep our families healthy, happy, and substance free for generations to come.
Awareness
Our Camas Path Prevention Program support this goal by offering tribal members, tribal employees, the Cusick School District, and the community at large comprehensive prevention awareness in the areas of:
- Alcohol
- Drugs
- Violence
- Suicide
- Tobacco
- Bullying
Education
Through various group activities, events, training sessions and field trips, the Prevention Program teaches and informs the community about negative influences that can deeply affect one’s life. By focusing on positive outcomes and ways each individual can make a difference for themselves and others, the Prevention Program is dedicated to encouraging:
- Leadership
- Cultural awareness
- Positive role modeling
- Active problem solving
- Positive decision making
- Taking responsibility for one’s behavior
- Physical, mental, emotional & spiritual health
- The benefits of service work
